AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Tuesday met with United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen to discuss efforts to reach a political solution to end the Syrian crisis.
During the meeting, Safadi voiced support for UN endeavors to solve the crisis according to a solution that guarantees the unity of Syria, restores safety and stability to the country and allows Syrian refugees to return voluntarily to their homes.
He said the Kingdom is keen on further boost the 'fruitful' partnership with the UN, and work together to achieve peace and stability in the region.
Pedersen lauded bilateral cooperation to come up with a solution for the crisis, pointing to Jordan's humanitarian role toward over 1 million Syrian refugees it hosts.
