AMMONNEWS - The total number of those insured by the Social Security Corporation (SSC) has risen to 1,305,000, including 67,000 voluntary subscribers, or 5% of the total number of active subscribers, according to the latest figures.
The number of insured non-Jordanians has reached 163,000, 12.5% of the total number of active subscribers, and the number of female subscribers was 372,000, or 28.5%, according to SSC spokesperson Mousa Sbeihi.
He said in a press statement Tuesday that the number of insured employers was 15,878 and that the average salaries and wages of all the insured is 542 dinars.
Sbeihi said that the SSC law apply to all subscribers, including those who are not incorporated in the civil or military retirement law as well as Jordanians working in regional, international and foreign missions in the Kingdom and their annexes.
