ICAO holds 1st coordination meeting on air traffic flow from Syria
AMMONNEWS - The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on Sunday held its first regional coordination meeting which focuses on safe operation procedures of air traffic flow through Syrian airspace and its neighboring countries.
The meeting, hosted by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), also tackles challenges encountering air traffic flow and actions recommended to surmount those difficulties, thus supporting civil aviation authorities' decision to fly over the Syrian airspace.
The two-day meeting saw the participation of experts from civil aviation public bodies from several countries in the Middle East, and members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), as well as local and international airlines.
