Jordan among most stable regional countries, Czech Minister
AMMONNEWS - Czech Industry and Trade Minister, Marta Novakova, said Jordan is one of the most secure and stable countries in the Middle East with an attractive investment environment and stable economy, which can benefit her country.
'The Czech Republic commends Jordan's efforts to mitigate the impact of the refugee crisis and rebuild traditional economic relations in the region,' she told a Jordanian-Czech business forum organized by the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA).
Novakova said that her country supports the agreement between Jordan and the European Union to simplify the rules of origin which facilitates the access of Jordanian companies to European markets, adding that Prague recognizes the importance of a developed and stable Jordanian economy.
Jordan's strategic location made it a key economic hub, she pointed out, adding that the reopening of borders with Iraq and Syria would give way for more investment in the Kingdom.
She also stressed that Czech investors and companies are willing to work with their Jordanian partners to utilize the opportunities available in the Kingdom and turn them into real and mega economic projects.
The minister also said the launch of direct flights between Amman and Prague, which began last year, will lead to forging a stronger strategic economic partnership between the two countries, adding that the number of companies, investors and tourists visiting Jordan will also increase.
