Ghneimat : PM's visit to Turkey reflects deep-rooted ties
AMMONNEWS - Minister of State for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghneimat, stressed the importance of the visit of Prime Minister, Omar Razaz, and his accompanying delegation to Turkey yesterday.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the minister, who is also Government Spokesperson, said the visit reflected the depth of bilateral relations, the level of joint coordination, and the close relationship between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The common stances on many issues of mutual concern reflect the high level of bilateral relations, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem, as the two countries agree that the two-state solution is the basis and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the 4 June lines with East Jerusalem is a genuine right to the Palestinian people, she pointed out.
The two sides also agreed on the need to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis that ensures Syria's unity and cohesion, and the importance of coordination in the war on terrorism, she noted.
On the level of economic cooperation, Ghneimat said discussions between the two sides looked into ways to an integrated framework for cooperation in the fields of investment, industry, tourism and trade relations, in a way that serves their common interests and contributes to achieving their aspirations.
Ghneimat noted the prime minister thanked the Turkish leadership for its fruitful and positive cooperation in extraditing fugitive Awni Mutee, which helped the Kingdom cap off an issue that has always drawn local public opinion.
