Pleasant weather forecast Wednesday, unstable conditions starting Thursday
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Thursday, bringing pleasant conditions across many parts of the country with clouds at various altitudes and light westerly winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures expected in Amman and the northern cities will reach 21 degrees Celsius, 19 in the southern cities, dropping down to 13 and 11 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching30 degrees and lows standing at 21, the department stated.
Unstable weather conditions will start affecting the Kingdom on Friday, bringing cloudy skies with rain that might turn heavy at night and accompanied by thunder, lightening and hail at times, causing floods in valleys and lowlands. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk at times mainly in the eastern parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added.
The Kingdom will remain under the impact of the unstable conditions on Saturday with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers across the country. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder, lightening and hail is also expected Saturday night, causing floods in valleys and low lands, the JMD said.
