AMMONNEWS - The Cabinet on Monday looked into the 2017 annual public sector audit report which cited financial violations and wrongdoing in 75 ministries and public agencies.
Prime Minister Omar Razzaz told reporters following a Cabinet session on Monday evening that his government will address all aspects of the report and said 'public funds will be recovered and some cases will be referred to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) while some other cases will go directly to the public prosecutor.'
Razzaz added that he had ordered all agencies accused of violations to respond to the Audit Bureau's report by Thursday at latest. He indicated that from now on any violations will be addressed on a quarterly basis instead of waiting a whole year for the report to come out.
