Cabinet refers "general pardon" to specialized technical committee
AMMONNEWS - A Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, on Wednesday discussed the possibility of issuing a general pardon and decided to form a specialized technical committee to study the issue and provide recommendations to the council of ministers.
The committee was formed due to technical difficulties and the large number of pending and executive criminal cases, as well as examining the pardon's financial impact, in addition to find out all related technical economic, social and political aspects of the pardon.
The Ministry of Justice Secretary-General will chair the committee with specialized representatives from relevant stakeholders.
