AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday but moderate weather conditions will prevail in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said at its daily brief.
Light showers are also expected at night in various areas of the country, the JMD added.
Maximum temperatures expected for today will reach 32 degrees Celsius in Amman, 31 in the northern cities and 30 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 23, 21and 02 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 41 and lows standing at 29, the JMD added.
A further rise in mercury levels is forecast on Wednesday creating relatively hot conditions in the mountainous areas and plains, and hot in other regions, with cloudy skies and a chance for light showers in the morning hours. Winds will be westerly moderate, the department noted.
Temperatures will again on Thursday bringing moderate weather in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will remain hot in other regions with high clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
