Crown Prince visits Deir Alla Female Youth Centre in Balqa
AMMONNEWS - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Sunday, visited Deir Alla Female Youth Centre in Balqa Governorate, northwest of Amman, and checked on programs implemented by the center to develop the capabilities and skills of young women in the area.
During the visit, Prince Al Hussein also checked on an on handicraft products exhibition for young women, inspired by the area's environment, heritage and culture.
His Royal Highness attended a part of an awareness seminar on qualifying young women for the labor market and managing productive projects, which was dedicated to discussing how to develop entrepreneurial ideas for small and medium-sized enterprises and marketing skills.
Prince Al Hussein saw a presentation by two of the center's beneficiaries on the art of marketing products.
The Crown Prince affirmed the important role of Jordanian women in development and the need to expand their economic participation and empower them to start productive projects, through capacity-building and skills development programs.
His Royal Highness lauded the high-level of handicraft products, pointing out to the importance of promoting them to benefit local communities.
