AMMONNEWS - Representatives from Syria and Jordan assessed in Damascus the restoration of economic and trade relations and reopen the Nasseeb border crossing for that purpose, sources from the Ministry of Commerce said today.
Syrian Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Minister, Abdullah al-Gharbi, talked with a delegation led by Jordan Chamber of Commerce vice president Ghassan Khrefan.
The talks addressed the ways of restoring economic cooperation relations, the commercial exchange between the two countries and the ways to stimulate them.
Another issue addressed was the reopening of the Naseeb border crossing to facilitate the flow of goods, food and industrial products, which would be beneficial for several Arab countries.
A Jordanian official economic delegation agreed to visit Syria soon with these objectives.
