AMMONNEWS - Moderate summer conditions are expected to continue on Sunday in the hilly areas and plains, as temperatures remain few degrees below their seasonal average, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Badia regions , according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Scattered clouds at low altitudes are also expected with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds picking up at times, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will hover around 29 degrees Celsius dropping down at night to 19, 20 and 16 respectively . The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs standing at 37 and lows dropping to 27 , the JMD added.
A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Tuesday, but similar weather conditions will continue with northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times, the JMD added.
Temperatures will continue to rise on Wednesday, creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the country with easterly to northwesterly moderate winds, the department noted.
