Summer conditions forecast to prevail for three days
AMMONNEWS - Moderate conditions are expected to prevail Sunday in the hilly areas, the eastern plains and the Badia region, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will hover around 30 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 21, 23 and 17 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 29, the JMD said.
Temperatures are forecast to slightly rise on Monday, but similar weather will continue to prevail with low clouds in the northern and central parts of the country and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
A further rise in mercury levels is also forecast on Tuesday, creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the country with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, it added.
