AMMONNEWS - The Lower House's Labour, Social Development and Housing Committee is mediating in a dispute between Dar Al Dawa pharmaceuticals Company and hundreds of workers who staged a sit-in to demand their rights and better working conditions.
Head of the committee, MP Khaled Fanatseh said he conducted a series of contacts with workers and the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical
Manufacturers to resolve the dispute.
He said that the committee was keen to contain the dispute and find solutions acceptable by the two sides, and had assigned its rapporteur Khaled Ramadan to follow up on the mediation.
He said Ramadan had addressed the protesting workers and declared his support for their demands and the need to find a quick solution to the dispute.
