AND aborts attempt to smuggle 1.4 million narcotic pills
AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) foiled the smuggling of large quantities of narcotic pills during a raid it carried out and in which it arrested four people with 1.4 million narcotic pills in their possession.
A security source said that an investigation team from AND began a few days ago to follow up on information about a suspect who was preparing to smuggle large quantities of drugs outside the Kingdom.
The AND investigation led to the location of the drugs in the Central Badia region and the main suspect and three of his companions were arrested, the source added, noting that an investigation was opened into the case before referring the suspects to the State Security Court.
