AMMONNEWS - State Minister for Media Affairs Jumana Ghuneimat received Wednesday an Iraqi media delegation for a discussion on the importance of promoting bilateral ties and cooperation, especially in the media sphere.
In the meeting, which was attended by Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia Al Suhail, Ghuneimat stressed the government's keenness to develop such cooperation in the form of documented agreements, and develop previous agreements accordingly.
The minister hailed the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Iraq and reiterated the Kingdom's support to the neighboring country in addressing its political and security challenges, including terrorism and extremism.
The Iraqi Ambassador commended Jordan's support to her country on various levels and emphasized the importance of boosting relations in all fields.
The meeting tackled ways to enhance cooperation between state media institutions and benefiting from the great expertise both countries have in the media field.
The Iraqi delegation included Chairman of the Iraqi Media Network Mujahid Abu Al-Hill, Al Iraqiya TV channel, Abdul Kareem Hammadi Abdul Sada and the Al Sabah newspaper editor-in-chief, Abbas Abboud Salem.
