Hot wave hits Kingdom Wednesday, in temps over weekend
AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected on Wednesday by a hot air mass pushing temperatures 4-5 above their annual average and creating hot conditions in most parts of the country with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Maximum temperatures expected today in the capital and the northern cities will hover around 36 degrees Celsius dropping down to 23 and 22 degrees at night. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba will highs reaching 41 degrees and lows standing at 30, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will few degrees on Thursday. Therefore, relatively hot conditions will prevail in the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will be hot in the Badia regions, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
