AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah departed on Thursday on a working visit to Washington, DC.
King Abdullah, who will be joined during the visit by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, will hold talks with United States President Donald Trump at the White House, on the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as current regional and international developments.
Also during the visit, which will continue for several days, His Majesty will meet with a number of senior US administration officials, and with committees at the US Senate and House of Representatives.
The King is scheduled to meet with the Senate and House leaderships, as well as the Senate committees on armed services, foreign relations, and appropriations; and the House committees on armed services and foreign affairs, in addition to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programmes.
In Amman, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
