AMMONNEWS - Cloudy skies with scattered showers are expected on Sunday in the northern and western parts of the Kingdom with westerly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Temperatures will slightly rise on Monday with low clouds and a weak chance for showers in the northern regions in the morning hours, the JMD added.
As of Tuesday, a further rise in mercury levels is forecast, becoming around their annual average. Therefore, it will be moderate in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley with northwesterly moderate winds, the department noted.
Temperatures in the capital Amman and the northern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius during the day, dropping to 12 and 7 respectively at night, while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 33 degrees sliding down to 20 degrees at night, the JMD said.
