AMMONNEWS - A Khamasini depression centered over Egypt is forecast to start affecting the Kingdom on Thursday, bringing a tangible rise in temperatures and creating relatively hot and dry conditions in most regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) daily brief said.
Starting afternoon, dusty conditions will affect the country, decreasing horizontal visibility in most parts of the country with strong gust at times.
A slight in temperatures is forecast on Friday, while winds will be northwesterly brisk with speed reaching 50-60 Km/h blowing dust in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom. Clouds at various altitudes are also forecast with a chance for scattered showers mainly in the northern governorates, the JMD added.
A further in mercury levels is also expected on Saturday, bringing cold and cloudy to partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.
Temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 20, while daytime mercury levels in the southern regions will reach 28 degrees dropping down to 18 at night. The weather will be hot in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 39 degrees and lows standing at 29, the JMD said.
