Cloudy skies with showers forecast Tuesday, rise in temperatures Thursday
AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected on Tuesday as the Kingdom remains under the impact of unstable weather conditions. Therefore, partly cloudy conditions will continue with showers in the northern and central regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the southern and eastern areas, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today will reach 23 degrees Celsius in Amman, 20 in the northern and southern cities dropping down at night in to 13, 14 and 9 respectively. The weather will be hot in the port city of Aqaba with temperatures jumping to 31 degrees and sliding to 22 at night, the JMD added.
The weather will start to stabilize on Wednesday as spring-like conditions will prevail in most parts of the country, but with the remaining chance for light showers in the northern and central areas, the department noted.
A tangible rise in mercury levels is expected on Thursday, becoming above their annual average with clouds at various altitudes and southwesterly moderate winds.
Strong gust is also forecast at times, blowing dust mainly in the southern and eastern parts and causing low visibility, the JMD further said.
