Rise in temperatures forecast Wednesday, over weekend
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Wednesday, becoming 7-8 degrees above their annual average and bringing relatively hot weather in the capital and the Badia, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and the southern cities will hover around 30 degrees Celsius, dropping down at night to 14,17 and 15 degrees respectively . The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 38 degrees and lows standing at 20, the JMD added.
A tangible in mercury levels is expected over the weekend, bringing back moderate conditions in the capital, the Badia regions and the eastern plains, while it will stay relatively hot in other parts of the country. Clouds at various attitudes with westerly moderate to brisk winds are also forecast with a chance for scattered showers in many parts of the country, the JMD added.
