Cloudy skies forecast Tuesday, pleasant until Thursday
AMMONNEWS - A slight in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday, creating partly cloudy skies with a chance for showers accompanied with thunder at times, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk in the evening.
Temperatures forecast for today in Amman, the northern and southern areas will hover around 16 degrees, dropping down to 9 in the capital and 10 in other cities. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 27 and lows standing at 18, the JMD said.
On Wednesday, mercury levels will rise few degrees, bringing back pleasant spring-like conditions in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba. Clouds at various attitudes will also appear with a chance for showers in the morning hours, especially in the northern and central parts of the country, the JMD further added.
A further rise in temperatures is expected on Thursday, but similar pleasant conditions will continue to prevail in the mountainous areas, while it will be moderate in other regions with northwesterly moderate winds, the department noted.
