Depression forecast to bring rain dusty conditions
AMMONNEWS - Relatively cold and dry weather is forecast on Wednesday with a chance for light local showers, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
starting this afternoon, the Kingdom will be affected by a khamasini depression, bringing dusty conditions across many parts of the country and causing low visibility. Local showers are also expected at night, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 29 degrees Celsius dropping down to 14 and 15 degrees respectively, while ranging between a high of 28 and a low of 15 in the southern governorates. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 35 and lows standing at 20 degrees at night, the JMD added.
Mercury levels are forecast to tangibly on Thursday, but similar weather conditions will continue to prevail with low visibility caused by dust-laden winds, the JMD said.
Temperatures will further on Friday, creating partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers in the northern and central regions. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, the department noted.
