Jordanian ,Indian win $1m each at Dubai Duty Free raffle
AMMONNEWS - Two new dollar millionaires were announced at the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw held on Tuesday.
A 25-year old Indian national, Dhaneesh Kotharamban, became one of the latest $1 million winners, in Series 266 with ticket number 4255. Kotharamban bought his first ever ticket in the million dollar promotion a few weeks ago while traveling to Kerala for a holiday. A resident of Dubai for a year and a half, he works as an electrician and was surprised upon receiving a call of a lifetime from DDF representative.
Speaking from Kerala, he commented, 'I've never thought that I could win this big at such a young age! Thank God for this wonderful gift and thank you Dubai Duty Free!'
The second Millennium Millionaire winner of the day is Yazan Qaryouti, who won in Series 267 with ticket number 1090.
The 34-year old Jordanian national based in Sharjah is a regular participant in the promotion and has purchased around 70 tickets for the past six years. He was glad that his perseverance has finally paid off, and said: 'This is the second happiest moment in my life! The first one of course was when I married my beautiful wife. We can't wait to visit Dubai Duty Free tomorrow to thank all of you for making this happen!'
Qaryouti, who works as general manager at a marble and granite manufacturing and supplier company, couldn't contain his excitement along with his wife when they heard of the good news.
