Warm days ahead as temperatures soar 10 degrees above average
AMMONNEWS - A tangible rise in temperatures is expected on Monday becoming 9-10 degree above their seasonal average. Therefore, warm and spring like conditions will prevail in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with high clouds.
According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust at times.
Daytime temperatures in Amman and the northern cities will hover around a high of 27 degrees Celsius and a low of 17 and 19 degrees respectively, while it will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with s reaching 34 degrees and lows standing at 24 degrees at night.
Similar weather will continue to prevail on Tuesday with medium and high clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will further rise on Wednesday, creating hot and dusty conditions across the country with clouds at various altitudes. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk changing to southwesterly moderate at night with a chance for light showers in the northern and central regions.
