Tarawneh to inaugurate meeting on Jordan's services to refugees
AMMONNEWS - Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, Atef Tarawneh, will open next Wednesday a meeting on the services and support provided by Jordan to refugees.
The two-day meeting, which is organized by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons in Amman, will review conditions of refugees and the support provided by Jordan to the refugees, to reduce the costs of hosting them.
The meeting's agenda also includes a visit to Zaatari Refugee Camp for Syrians in Mafraq to witness their living conditions firsthand.
Jordan is a key partner for democracy in the Parliament Assembly of the Council of Europe that includes 318 members representing 48 states.
