AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Tuesday met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and discussed with him ways to cement ties between Jordan and Egypt, especially in economic spheres, as well as a number of Middle East issues.
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of enforcing agreements signed between the two countries and facilitating the exchange of goods and Jordanian exports to Egypt, as well as the registration of Jordanian medicines in the Egyptian market.
Mulki also emphasized the need to enhance coordination between Jordan and Egypt with regard to the reconstruction of Iraq and Syria, saying Jordan could serve as a springboard for reconstruction efforts in these two countries.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the region, especially in Syria and Iraq. In this context, they stressed the importance of finding political solutions to the crises experienced by a number of Arab countries.
Mulki and president El-Sisi also discussed ways to foster military cooperation between Jordan and Egypt.
El-Sisi said his country is looking forward for closer cooperation and coordination between the two countries. He spoke about his country's efforts to address challenges and bring about reforms in various domains.
