King, Queen to begin official visit to Netherlands 19th, March
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah will begin an official visit to the Netherlands on the 19th of this month at the invitation of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.
During the visit, the King will meet Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, heads of the Senate and the House of Representatives, a group of business leaders and a bevy of representatives of research and think tank institutions in the fields of security and defense.
The visit will focus on ways to enhance economic, trade and investment relations between Jordan and the Netherlands, as well as cooperation in the areas of technical education, communications and information technology, and ways to benefit from the Dutch experience in innovative solutions to tackle challenges of energy, food and water security.
Efforts of the two countries to cement security and stability in the region and to combat the threat of terrorism will also be reviewed.
His Majesty will be the keynote speaker in a gathering with a group of students from the Netherlands and other countries participating in the Hague International University Students Program, organized by the Hague Municipality in partnership with Dutch universities.
