Temperatures to soar 10 degrees above average Thursday
AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Thursday are forecast to soar 10 degrees above their annual average, bringing warm weather in the hilly areas and the desert region, and relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Clouds at high altitudes with southwesterly moderate winds, blowing dust in the Badia region are also forecast, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected in Amman, the northern and the southern cities will hover around 24 degrees Celsius, dropping down at night to 11, 14, and 10 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 36 degrees and lows standing at 18, the JMD said.
Temperatures are forecast to sharply on Friday, returning back to their normal levels with high clouds and northwesterly brisk winds stirring dust in all regions and reducing visibility in the desert areas, the JMD explained.
On Saturday, pleasant weather will prevail with high clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added further .
