Warmer days ahead, as temperatures set to rise few degrees
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, but relatively cold weather will remain in the hilly areas and the desert regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Easterly moderate winds are also forecast with fog formation at night, mainly over the highlands, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 16 degrees Celsius, 15 in the northern cities and 14 in the southern parts, dropping down to 6, 8 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the Gulf of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees and lows standing at 17, the JMD further said.
Temperature will keep rising over the next two days, becoming 3 degrees above their annual average and creating pleasant conditions in the mountainous areas and the desert region, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley and the port city of Aqaba.
