Temperatures to remain around annual average until Friday
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, becoming around their annual average, but relatively cold weather will remain in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Winds will be southeasterly light winds with low clouds and fog formation at night over the mountainous areas and the Badia, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 14 degrees Celsius dropping down to 7 and 8 degrees respectively, while reaching 13 degrees in the southern parts and sliding to 3 at night. The weather will be warmer in the Gulf of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees and lows standing at 13 degrees at night, the JMD added.
A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, but similar weather conditions will continue to prevail until Friday with clouds at various altitudes and easterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions as of Friday evening, bringing scattered showers across the country with northwesterly moderate winds, the Department noted.
