Foreign minister meets Arab League secretary general
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi briefed Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Ghait on diplomatic efforts exerted by Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to address the repercussions of U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and move the U.S embassy there.
During a meeting on Thursday at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo, Safadi briefed the Arab League chief on the outcome of efforts of the Arab ministerial committee that aim at highlighting the repercussions of the US decision on regional peace and security as well as on the future of the Middle East peace process.
The two sides also exchanged views on future Arab moves to deal with the consequences of the US decision that violates international legitimacy resolutions.
