Sunny, cold weather forecast as temperatures rise over weekend
AMMONNEWS - Sunny, but cold conditions are forecast to prevail Thursday across many parts of the country with clouds at various altitudes, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures expected today in the capital and the northern cities will hover around 14 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 5 and 6 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 degrees and lows standing at 12, the JMD added.
Sunny skies are forecast to prevail over the next two days as temperatures set to gradually rise, becoming 2-4 degrees above their annual average, but relatively cold conditions will continue in the hilly areas, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk , blowing dust in the Badia region, the department further said.
