King meets Polish president, British prime minister, and U.S. secretary of treasury
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah held talks on Thursday here with Polish President, Andrzej Duda, on ways to foster bilateral cooperation ties in a number of fields, especially in the economic and military domains.
The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Al-Hussein Ben Abdullah, also touched on the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.
The King stressed the need to end the Mideast stalemate in a bid to relaunch the peace process and to achieve just and comprehensive peace to establish a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Discussions also centered on regional and global developments and the current crises in the Middle East, along with efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic strategy.
Minister of foreign affairs and director of the King's Office attended the meeting.
On the sidelines of Davos Economic Forum, the King also met British Prime Minister Theresa May.
In another meeting, His Majesty, in presence of Crown Prince Al-Hussein Ben Abdullah, discussed with U.S. Secretary of the Treasury,Steven Mnuchin, ways to offer economic support to Jordan.
Talks with the U.S. official tackled economic reforms the Kingdom is currently carrying out in a bid to stimulate its economic growth and to foster its capacity to address challenges triggered by the regional crises.
