Crown Prince visits Al-Hussein Technical University
AMMONNEWS - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Monday visited the Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU) and was briefed on its academic programs, laboratories and engineering workshops.
HTU President Labib Khadra briefed Prince Al-Hussein on the university's programs and plans. He pointed out that the university has a flexible applied educational system and dynamic study plans that are adapted to the needs of local and international labor markets.
He added that the university is adopting a training system that focuses on applied technical education that enables students to practice from the first day of study.
He noted that the HTU implements a social communication system, through holding free specialized training courses in engineering and computer science for Jordanian universities' graduates who have had difficulties in obtaining job opportunities.
He also noted that the university promotes a spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity among students, as the HTU serves as incubator for start-ups.
The Crown Prince also saw a short film about the university, which was founded by the Crown Prince Foundation in 2016, and is the latest Jordanian technical university, granting a bachelor's and intermediate degrees in the fields of engineering and computer science.
Prince Al-Hussein was also briefed on a number of engineering projects carried out by HTU students. He also toured the university Labs, attended part of a lecture and visited the HTU's engineering workshops.
