AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Monday visited the border guards brigade 2 at the Northern Military Zone.
The King was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lit. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, and other high-ranking officers.
During the visit, the King inaugurated a sophisticated administrative facility built in a record time for this Army unit, upon Royal directives to give its serving personnel the appropriate ambience to increase their military professional expertise.
His Majesty also listened to briefings on diverse eco-friendly construction projects currently being executed to serve border forces, and on duties and programmes undertaken by Army's battalions in the zone as well.
The King expressed lauded distinguished level of the Army's units at the border area and their endeavors to safeguard Jordan's security and stability.
