FM stresses need to maintain providing UNRWA services
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday, stressed the need to maintain all education, health and relief services provided by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to Palestinian refugees.
The foreign minister made his remarks as he met with UNRWA Commissioner-General, Pierre Krahenbuhl.
Safadi along with Krahenbuhl highlighted the need to find a solution for the fiscal deficit UNRWA suffers from.
The minister said enabling the UN agency to continue providing its services is an international responsibility towards the refugees.
