Cold, cloudy skies with showers forecast until Thursday
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Tuesday, but cold and partly cloudy weather will continue with showers at times in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom with westerly moderate to brisk winds.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a further rise in mercury levels is also expected on Wednesday. Therefore, relatively cold weather will prevail across the country with fog conditions over the high lands and parts of the eastern plains in the early morning hours.
Frost formation is also forecast at night in the Badia regions and Al Sharah Mountains, the JMD said.
On Thursday, temperatures will again, creating cold and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a chance for light showers in the northern and central areas, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.
Temperatures expected in Amman and the northern areas for today will hover around range 12 degrees Celsius dropping down to 7 and 6 degrees respectively. In the port city of Aqaba, mercury levels will record 21 degrees during the day, sliding to 13 degrees at night, the JMD noted.
