Arab Parliament defies Israel's candidacy to UNSC seat
AMMONNEWS - The Arab Parliament (AP) endorsed an action plan to stand up to Israel's candidacy to a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for 2019-2020.
The AP also announced a resolution, tabled by 37 lawmakers, slamming Iran's interventions in the Arab countries' sovereign affairs.
The session, kicked off today in Cairo and chaired by the bloc's President, Meshal Al Sulami, also mulled steps aimed to deny Tel Aviv's progress in its UNSC bid, and discussed the latest Yemen developments.
