OIC's extraordinary summit on Jerusalem kicks off in Istanbul
AMMONNEWS - The extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on Jerusalem kicked off on Wednesday in Istanbul with the participation of kings, presidents and representatives of the Islamic countries.
His Majesty King Abdullah II headed Jordan's delegation at the summit to discuss the repercussions of the United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving its embassy to the city.
According to the Turkish state-run news agency, Anadolu News, some 16 leaders along with heads of delegations of member states and high ranking officials of Muslim countries take part in the summit, which is chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the OIC's term president.
