During their meeting, the two officials discussed the need to revive efforts to re-launch serious and effective Palestinian-Israeli negotiations to end the conflict on the basis of the two- state solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and living in peace and security side by side with Israel.
