AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi on Wednesday met with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and discussed with him a number of Middle East and pan-Arab issues.
The meeting touched on efforts to restart peace negotiations to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution and in accordance with relevant international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The talks also dealt with the latest developments in Syria, Yemen and Libya and the war on terror.
They stressed that current circumstances in the Arab region require intensive consultation and coordination to protect Arab interests and counter dangers and challenges.
