AMMONNEWS - The 45th General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) will convene here Wednesday to explore prospects of cooperation in the media industry among Arab press agencies.
The two-day conference will discuss economic issues of the news agencies, as well as cultural and tourism files. Director generals of the state news agencies will preside over their countries' delegations to the gathering, which will see the participation of Maxim Minchev, chief of Bulgaria's news agency and secretary-general of the News Agencies World Council.
Heads of the agencies will also tackle technical topics pertaining to FANA website, in addition to means for stepped up news content on the website. Participants will also elect president and members of FANA for the next assembly.
FANA, which comprises state-owned news agencies of 18 Arab countries, seeks to promote relations among these agencies.
