AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected on Monday, but it will be moderate across the country with low clouds in the northern and central regions, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times , blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD said.
A wet and cold air mass accompanied by a depression is expected to start affecting the country on Tuesday, causing further in mercury levels. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also expected in the central and northern regions, extending at night to other areas, the JMD said.
Winds will be northwesterly with strong gusts and speed ranging between 50-60 KM/h.
On Wednesday, the effect of the depression will continue to prevail during day time, but the weather will gradually stabilize at night with a chance for light showers and northwesterly brisk winds, the JMD added.
Temperatures expected today in Amman and the southern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 9 degrees, while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 27degrees dropping down to 16 degrees at night, the Department noted.
