Constitutional Court President receives NCHR 2016 report
AMMONNEWS - Constitutional Court President Taher Hekmat, Wednesday, received the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) President of the board of trustees, Mohammad Al Bakhit, who presented a copy of the annual report on human rights in Jordan for 2016.
The report sheds light on issues and topics pertaining to human rights situation in Jordan, as well as the action required to follow-up and implement recommendations in this context.
At the meeting, attended by Commissioner General of the NCHR, Musa Braizat, Al-Bakhit outlined the key themes addressed in the report, besides the methodology used to monitor, follow-up and handle observations received by the center.
Further, Hekmat appreciated efforts of NCHR to fulfill its mission and promote human rights in Jordan, underscoring the important role of the center in building a comprehensive national system for human rights in accordance with laws.
