Jordan does not recognize Catalonia's declaration of independence
AMMONNEWS - State Minister for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, Sunday said Jordan 'does not recognize' the Catalan parliament's declaration of independence.
'Spain's constitutional norms and laws should be respected', Momani said in a press conference, emphasizing that 'Jordan sees the Catalan referendum as unconstitutional and unrecognized.'
The minister, who is also the government spokesman, also reiterated Jordan's support for Spain's government in its legitimate measures to preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, highlighting the strong ties between the two countries.
