AMMONNEWS - The Governor - General of Australia Peter Cosgrove and his wife, arrived in Amman on Wednesday on a several-day official visit to Jordan as part of a regional tour.
During the visit, His Majesty King Abdullah II and Cosgrove will hold talks on means to enhance relations between the two countries in various fields as well as regional and international developments.
Cosgrove will also meet with Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki and a number of senior officials.
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, the governor general was received by State Minister for Political and Parliamentary Affairs Mousa Maayteh, the mayor of Amman, Jordan's ambassador to Australia as well as Australia's ambassador to Jordan.
