AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected Wednesday, becoming around their annual average and bringing moderate conditions across the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Relatively cold weather is forecast at night in the hilly areas and the Badia region, while it will be pleasant in other parts of the country with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust at times, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will rise again on Thursday, becoming 2-3 degrees above their seasonal average, but moderate conditions will continue to prevail with easterly to south-easterly moderate winds change to north-westerly moderate in the evening, the JMD noted.
Temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern regions will hover around 29 degrees Celsius and in the southern governorates they will reach 25, dropping down to 17, 16 and13 respectively. Mercury levels in Aqaba will register 34 degrees sliding to 22 at night, the JMD said.
