Public urged to avoid direct sun exposure as hot air mass forecast
AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom is expected to be affected by a hot air mass associated with a thermal shallow low, bringing relatively hot conditions in Amman and the highlands and hot weather in other regions of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said Friday.
It said moderate weather conditions is expected to prevail in the evening and night in the hilly and Badia areas and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
The JMD said the hot air mass is predicted to push temperatures up, making them 4-5 above seasonal average.
The hot conditions prompted the JMD to issue weather warning, urging the public to avoid direct sun exposure.
